Dr.Naveen Chaturvedi, affectionately known by his literary pen name “Bewafa Raj,” has been honored with the prestigious Rabindra Ratna Puraskar in 2026 by the Indian NGO Awards Council for his remarkable contributions to literature and astrology. This recognition celebrates a lifetime devoted to creativity, cultural expression, and the thoughtful exploration of traditional knowledge.
Born on September 6, 1965, Dr. Chaturvedi has emerged as a distinctive voice whose work bridges poetic imagination with the ancient wisdom of astrology. Over the years, he has developed a reputation for writing that reflects emotional depth, sensitivity, and a strong connection with everyday life and human experiences.
Before fully dedicating himself to literary pursuits, Dr. Chaturvedi built a successful career in business management. However, his passion for writing and astrology soon guided him toward a different path. His popularity grew significantly through his well-known column “Jyotish Uvach,” published in the widely read Hindi newspaper Dainik Jagran from 2008 to 2020. Through this column, he shared insights on astrology and life, earning a loyal readership across India.
Dr. Chaturvedi’s literary contributions have also brought him numerous honors, including titles such as Kavya Divakar, Kavya Shiromani, and Geet Gaurav, recognizing his influence across several Indian states. His creative repertoire spans multiple poetic and narrative forms, including ghazals, songs, dohas, mukhtaks, and short stories, demonstrating both versatility and a deep appreciation for classical Hindi literary traditions.
His journey into literature began at an early age. As a child, Dr. Chaturvedi frequently accompanied his father to poetry conferences, experiences that nurtured his fascination with words and performance poetry. These formative moments helped shape the writer he would later become. One of his earliest poetic works, “Kangan,” marked the beginning of a lifelong creative journey.
Dr. Chaturvedi’s first published collection, “Janata Chandran Van,” introduced readers to his poetic voice and thematic style.
